BILLING POLICY
Telephone Consultations – Update
From 18st October 2021, Telehealth Consultations will no longer be routinely bulk-billed for all patients.
Medicare Patients with a Health Care or Pension Card, or children under 16 will continue to be bulk-billed for Telehealth, provided they have attended the clinic for a Face-to-Face Appointment in the last 12 months.
A Private Fee will apply for all other telehealth consultations. This will range from $90-$142 with a rebate available to eligible patients.
Payment will be collected via a secure payment request we send from Hotdoc, or over the phone. Medicare rebates will be processed online to save you hassle.
PRACTICE FEES:
Please see our fees in the table below:
On Weekdays we operate as a mixed billing practice. From June 23rd we will offer bulk billing for children age 5 and under, and for holders of specific government concession cards (i.e. Pension Concession Card, Healthcare Card and Commonwealth seniors health card) if they have a booked appointment, Monday – Friday. All other consultations will be privately charged, and with a valid Medicare card we can claim your rebate for you electronically without hassle.
GP’s billing schedules can differ – please call the clinic if you are a new patient with any questions regarding fees.
WEEKDAY APPOINTMENTS:
We also take walk-in patients, however please note that these will be privately charged consistently even if the patient is a child under 16, holds a Pension/Health Care Card. We also cannot guarantee a short wait time for these consultations.
WEEKEND APPOINTMENTS:
We are a fully private billing practice on weekends and public holidays. A full fee is charged for all patients including children under 16, concession card holders consultations.
Please note that consultations on Weekends or Public Holidays will attract a higher fee to the usual schedule as these are considered after-hours consultations.
A complete fee list can be provided on request.
*Medicare rebates are an estimate, please be aware this may vary.
NON ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Please note a Non-Attendance Fee of $20 is payable if a patient does not attend their doctors appointment or if the appointment is cancelled with less than one hours notice.
If a patient fails to give 48hours notice or does not attend an allied health appointment, a Non-Attendance Fee of 50% of the consult fee will need to be paid.
