Telephone Consultations – Update
From 1st October 2020, Telehealth Consultations will no longer be routinely bulk-billed for all patients.
Medicare Patients with a Centerlink Health Care or Pension Card, or children under 16 will continue to be bulk-billed for Telehealth, provided they have attended the clinic for a Face-to-Face Appointment in the last 12 months.
A Private Fee will apply for all other telehealth consultations. After the Medicare Rebate, patients will be out of pocket $33 regardless of consultation length.
Payment will be collected prior to the consultation, via a secure payment request we send from Hotdoc, or over the phone. Medicare rebates will be processed online to save you hassle.
As of Monday 20th January 2020, there will be an increase in practice fees. This is due to the rising costs of rent and the sustainability of our facilities.

CHANGES TO BILLING STRUCTURE:
Please note that as of the 5th August 2019, we will be transitioning to a private billing practice. Please see the Practice News Page for more detailed information regarding what this means for you.
On Weekdays we operate as a mixed billing practice. Patients under the age of 16, as well as Pension, DVA or Health Care Card holders will be bulk-billed if booked in for an appointment. All other consultations will be privately charged, and with a valid Medicare card we can claim your rebate for you electronically without hassle.
We also take walk-in patients, however please note that these will be privately charged consistently even if the patient is a child under 16 or holds a Pension or Health Care Card. We also cannot guarantee a short wait time for these consultations.
We are a fully private billing practice on weekends and public holidays. A reduced gap fee is charged for children under 16, pension and concession card holders’ consultations.
Please note that consultations on Sundays or Public Holidays will attract a higher fee to the usual schedule as these are considered after-hours consultations.

NON ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Please note a Non-Attendance Fee of $20 is payable if a patient does not attend their doctors appointment or if the appointment is cancelled with less than one hours notice.
If a patient fails to give 48hours notice or does not attend an allied health appointment, a Non-Attendance Fee of 50% of the consult fee will need to be paid.
VACCINES & PROCEDURAL FEES:
For all vaccination and procedural costs please ask one of our friendly receptionists. Your doctor will explain any additional costs to you and obtain your consent prior to receiving treatment.
- Any consultations requiring additional services may be charged a procedural equipment fee of between $10 – $100.
- Travel vaccines will incur a private fee also for the purchase of the vaccine as they are not covered by Medicare.
Pre-employment medical assessments and other medical assessments are also privately billed. The cost will depend on the length and complexity of the medical assessment. Reception are able to give a price guide but cost will be determined by the doctor at time of consult.
WOMEN’S HEALTH CHECK:
Private Billing applies to all Women’s Health Checks (Pap Smears). There will be an out of pocket gap fee of $24.
*After hours: after 1pm on Saturday, all day Sunday and public holidays and before 8am on weekdays.
If you are an existing patient of the practice and require after hours medical assistance of a non-urgent nature, please call 0491 837 158. A private non rebatable fee of $200 applies to all after hours telehealth consultations. Home visits will be at the doctors discretion and may incur additional fees. A staff member will contact you on the next business day to process payment.
